Spring Garden Centerpiece Workshop

$245.00
Sold Out

Spend the afternoon with gorgeous spring blooms and fragrant foliage on our farm this Wednesday, June 19th from 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M.  Connect with flowers, breathe in fragrance, and learn how to arrange spring blooms into an open vessel with ease and grace.  Jennifer will lead a detailed demonstration of a spring centerpiece we use here at ERF for our a la Carte weddings, followed by plenty of time to practice making your own.  This workshop begins with a farm tour and will offer the opportunity to pick a few special blooms from our overwinter tunnel for your own centerpiece before styling in our 1840s barn with pre-harvested blooms and foliage picked just for you.  We will cover all the important topics, like stage of harvest, conditioning, stripping, placement, balance, structure, movement, color, light, dimension, and more. We can't wait for you to play with these wonderful spring blooms! Flowers to be used in this centerpiece workshop are ranunculus, Iceland Poppies, Sweet Peas, stock, feverfew, orlaya, snapdragons, fragrant mint, bush honeysuckle, etc. Take home a 4” clear glass taper vase full of your own freshly cut flowers, the knowledge, and skill to continue creating centerpieces, and a fabulous connection to the land and your new flower friends! We can’t wait to work with you! This workshop is capped at only 8 participants for a unique and intimate experience working with flowers, so don’t wait! This workshop will fill up quickly. We have a porta-potty on site, and there will be light refreshments served. Please wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty as our farm is a working farm with animals around. We are handicapped accessible, there is no use of stairs, but surfaces are rough and uneven.
